Ersin Karabulut started his career at the age of 16 in Istanbul, Turkey. He worked for various weekly and monthly magazines and was an illustrator and storyboard artist for major advertising companies while studying graphic design at Mimar Sinan University.

In 2007, he co-founded the award-winning Uykusuz, one of the most prestigious weekly humor magazines in Turkey with a group of artist friends.

He is the published author of seven books of comic compilations and graphic novels including the latest one Contes ordinaires d'une société résignée in January 2018 by well-known French comic publisher Fluide Glacial, whose magazine he also creates content for on a regular basis in France.

Considered one of the most respected comic artists in Turkey, Ersin has exhibited his work and frequently teaches and lectures about comics and storytelling at universities, institutes and conferences all over Turkey and Europe. He is currently based in Los Angeles and is still one of the editors and a weekly contributing artist and writer for Uykusuz.
